Today is the first day of the rest of my blogging life, in essence, the birth of a blog!
As I sit here developing my blog I am sampling a new wine (because alcohol makes everything relevant, doesn’t it?) Black Currant by Elephant Island Wine. My blogging bestie Sasha Lassey is also here with me as we traverse the open wine waters of blogging! Anywho, we have been working on this for most of the afternoon, starting with a little prosecco and moving on to pizza and wine! You may now see where the inspiration for this page came from?
A few years back we (Sasha and friends) decided we should get together one night at my place to drink wine and hang out. On that evening, Wine and Snacks was born.
I’m sure many of you have had wine nights like this, perhaps with the same name, perhaps with another, perhaps nights with no names at all. In any event us girlfriends know that these are the nights of discovery, debauchery and memories.
A safe space to share thoughts about all things. How the work week is going? Should the work week go to hell? My boyfriend/husband/ex/kids….., Remember that time? Once (ok maybe more than once) I did….., and on and on and on the nights go with wine and snacks!
So back to Elephant Island, Black Currant…I am not a sommelier, #winesteward, by any stretch of the imagination but this wine is like no red I have had before. It it slightly heavy in the glass, sweet on the tongue to start and faintly tart at the finish. Like the most satisfying sour candy you ever had. With 11% alcohol per volume….bahahahahaha. Until next time bishes….yes, it’s true, I swear. If anyone reading my blog is offended by that, please feel free to leave my blog.
